I am, Patrick, studied energy economics and renewable energy systems. Former scientist in the field of sustainable urban development at the Fraunhofer Institute in Kassel.
Interested in topics such as sustainable energy supply, mobility solutions, climate change and photography.
What do I want here? Pointing out and informing about local and global changes and solutions. To present studies and scientific articles in a more understandable way and to arouse interest.
Why Cities?
70% of the world's population will live in cities by 2030.
Climate change is complex. It is my aim to make it more understandable. This is done by linking scientific studies and their data with photography of local change.
Documentary
I like photography and try to document climate change and its local consequences. I believe that studies must merge with images to reach a broad mass. More here.

ClimateCities analyse new concepts for districts and cities. Show best practice examples and help to spread them. More here.
Implementation
CCitites and the company RESE from Cologne develops, plans and installs on- and off-grid solar systems, solar water supply and seawater desalination plants as well as power storage power plants in emerging and developing countries, especially Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. More here.
Energy supply
CCitites is developing a peer-to-peer energy platform that enables energy supply from the neighbour to the neighbour. As a result, neighborhoods can supply each other with electricity and heat. Local, decentralised and sustainable. More here.
